Serpents and snakes represent fertility or a creative life force. As snakes shed their skin, they are symbols of rebirth, transformation, immortality and healing. The Ouroboros, the snake that eats its own tail, is a symbol of eternity and the continual renewal of life.
Each sweet little Sister's head and tail is hand carved from solid brass rod and then their scales are individually carved. Then they're formed into bangles that you can carry with you on all your adventures. A single star on each little forehead and their personalities all shine through so you really are getting something one of a kind.
Because the bangle is an open style you can adjust the size of the wrap to fit you perfectly.
Each Serpent starts out as 3mm solid brass wire, but the finished width will vary slightly depending on hammer strikes and scale pattern.
Each Serpent is handmade and will never be quite the same as her sisters.
They all receive a bright burnished finish with the details oxidized for DRAMA. These will oxidize over time, but buff right up similarly to silver. I recommend using a silver polishing cloth, as opposed to an anti tarnish dip for cleaning.

These pieces are entirely handmade. Since I don't tend to use casting methods in my work you'll find subtle variations in my pieces. My hope is that you will appreciate these markers as the signature of the hands that made your jewellery.
